Than the general public.

Is Fani proving this to be true or false?

Most politicians are lawyers if that gives you any insight into the academic abilities required to pass law school lol

95% of lawyers are a poor reflection on the 5% that are decent.

Agreed.

There are some decent folk on this very board who happen to be Lawyers.

It's a damned shame so many have tainted the profession.

TBH, an awful lot of law schools are diploma mills. You pay high five figures or more, you get a sheepskin whether you deserve it or not.

Hence why people make jokes about the bar passage rate from various Louisiana schools. Some schools have people make it the first time. Some schools have a lot of people who keep failing it.

I think the most important part of being a lawyer is courts procedures. you will have paralegals to help you do research. also it helps to know about historical cases to cite as sources. usually the best lawyers are history buffs who can cite obscure cases that go back to the founding of the country.

Reminds me of an old pre-Internet joke circulated in my dad’s time.

It laid out the hunting rules for various attorneys, such as the points received from getting one and rules of conduct.

For example, you can hit them with a car but only if it isn’t an ambulance being driven in reverse.

Honest lawyers are off limits because they are an endangered species.

The reality is that when the public thinks about lawyers they think about this stuff.

Half the lawyers in the country don't spend any time in court rooms (probably more). A lot of the lawyers I know/work with are nothing like the public perception of lawyers. Home Depot probably has an in house legal department of 200+ and probably 150 of them do real estate, tax, environmental, contracts.

Well, IMO the best Lawyers are those who don't think their profession gives them license to be insufferable dooshes.

You're asking if a sample size of one proves something? I think you've already proved that person right with your own apparent stupidity.

When one rises to a position of prominence in a field, such as an elected DA, they are considered a major representative for their profession.
