Mayorkas was a tool. He did and said what he was told to do.
The real question is, "Who was telling him what to do/say?". We know it wasn't Biden. If there is an investigation into who was pulling Biden's strings, Mayorkas would be a good person to flip. Maybe that's why this administration is not holding him accountable right now.
