If so you need to edit that post for her. That is hard to read. White space!
If that is your mother, and she has letters, etc, you need to hire a very good PI. I bet it wouldn't be hard for a PI to prove Edward's movements and correlate them to your mothers.
Aside from that, maybe contact one of his other children and compare DNA. That is probably a long shot but worth a shot.

Yes, my mother wrote that. I know it is long and hard to follow. It is a very dynamic story line.

BTW, you can do this by going to any Edwards family member and discreetly getting your own sample. It can be a pen or a coke can or anything. Then pay a lab to compare your DNA to it and you have your answer.
