One being a constitutional right and all, but yeah, screw fishing licenses, let them both be done away with.

What a moron.
They use the licensing funds to stock the lakes and rivers with fish.
They use the licensing funds to stock the lakes and rivers with fish.

He was actually trying to convey that we should regulate guns more but he he worded it so poorly that it can be read either way.

One is a right, the other is a privilege.
Again, he's a moron.

It is funny that acts of subsistence such as fishing or hunting are taxed via licensure but you have the right to a firearm without an additional tax to defend your starving arse.

Democrats are really bent out of shape that all these states are moving to constitutional carry
Triggered would be an appropriate term I think
More on the way too.

You don't need a fishing license to fish in a pond or lake on your own property because they can't move (although some down south know this a false statement due to hurricanes).
The thinking on licensing to hunt on your own property is due in part because almost all animals are mobile and did not strictly feed / were born on your property.

Yea, you need a license to fish, but not to vote on who runs this country.
I agree we need more licenses.
I agree we need more licenses.

I've never understood how we allowed the gov't to license us anything: hunting, fishing, driving, marriage, concealed carry, protesting, etc, etc, etc.

I've got my lifetime fishing license in OK and I had no issue with paying for it. In fact, I still annually donate to the ODWC for their paddlefish research and trout stocking programs.
I'm out in the field and next to the lakes, rivers and ponds for most of the 8 warmest months of the year, so I'm frequently running into our game wardens and wildlife biologists and personally know the ones in my area quite well.
OK does a fantastic job of letting the ODWC allocate their funds as they see fit, and when the people deciding where funding needs to go are the same people living their lives in the outdoors like myself, the effects tend to be very positive and favorable.
OK is also an open-carry state, but I still maintain my OK SDA license just for the reciprocity.
