I’m not being sarcastic. If you are afraid of this vaccine I think you are a giant pussy. It may be the worst possible reason for not taking the vaccine.

This. These people sit around memorizing talking points and live to argue and engage in this stuff. If everybody ignored them they wouldn't have shite to do

Anecdotally, I am NOT scared of vaccines and as a matter of fact I am sitting here typing this post with a freshly minted bandaid on my arm from getting my tetanus shot. I have studied up enough on my own, doing my own due diligence and research. I have concluded that I will fare fine with Covid as a whole but I can’t say the same for the vaccine. Doesn’t make me nor others in my position a pussy in the slightest. You’re make false leaps of logic.

The real question is why are you so concerned if someone else decides to not take it to where you start berating them is all manners? This is about the most fricked up aspect of the whole debate, the vaxx pushers are way out of line and need to stay in their damned lane.

Especially in light of the fact that the cat's pretty much out of the bag inasmuch as the vaccine's main benefit is "reduces the severity of symptoms". Absolutely cannot rely upon any of the vaccines to effectively, with any real degree of confidence, protect you from becoming infected by the virus. Thus in turn cannot rely upon it to keep others safe as well.

No history classes at your school? Society functioned well and blew right past the lost populations of both the plague and the Spanish flu.

I don’t know man. Planes crash. Sharks Bite. Covid vaccines do in fact kill and maim people. It’s understandable to have some trepidation about all three of those occurrences. But given the near zero odds of any of those happening to you, you are kind of a puss for letting those fear influence your behavior.

1. Because the most effective protection our society can provide its most vulnerable members is through near universal vaccination. That will best protect the old, the young, the unborn, the immuno-compromised. This is such a basic concept and it pains me to see our society so callously fail to protect the weakest among us.

2. Unvaccinated people in Louisiana are currently clogging up hospitals and depleting medical care capacity needed by other people with ailments unrelated to covid. This is entirely avoidable through vaccination.

3. Unvaccinated people going to hospitals drive up insurance costs and are wasting Medicare/Medicaid dollars. This is entirely avoidable through vaccination and I hate waste.

To summarize - vaccination saves lives, money, and resources at a near zero cost to anyone. Electing not to vaccinate is a either an uninformed, selfish or fearful choice.
