Dumb as hell. What is the threshold to start bombing them again? 20 attacks on American forces? 50?
I'm guessing that there is not a whole lot left to bomb that is very effective. I think there is reluctance to take out the grid and water resources because that would harm the uprising and the regime's thugs would be more or less exempt from the consequences while burrowed like rats in their hiding holes.
We, the Israelis and their Arab neighbors need to get the protestors armed particularly with the kind of drones that Ukraine has so effectively used. Drone operators in urban environments would be very effective at killing IRGC's thugs without exposing themselves.
Ukraine is manufacturing thousands of deadly suicide drones daily using 3D printings and a garage industry. The controllers are from Play Stations and XBoxes. The thugs of the Islamic Republic would have no where to hide.

The Euronews investigation last week documented the architecture behind it: Larijani restructured the IRGC into autonomous regional commands that answer to Vahidi, not to Pezeshkian, not to Araghchi.
Today Araghchi was telling Washington that Iran is reviewing the U.S. counter-proposal.
Today Vahidi ordered attacks on the UAE without telling Araghchi or Pezeshkian.
Both happened simultaneously. In the same country. On the same Monday.
Washington is negotiating with the civilian track.
The military track is running its own war.
The deal that Araghchi signs and the war that Vahidi runs are not the same document.
That is a command-and-control problem.
And it means that even a signed agreement cannot guarantee that Vahidi stops.
What the "civilian" track needs to do is reach out to Trump and invite our military in to take on the IRGC directly, side-by-side with their own army.

I’m sure it’s been said before now, but seems obvious that among other things this ceasefire is allowing the IRGC to re-establish its leadership chain so we have an updated target list to maximize chaos & destabilization in the next round of attacks.

I keep looking at that island up at the top of the Straights and thinking that might be a good place to take militarily. It would be a good place to intercept drones and missiles and would be a good bargaining chip going forward once the regime surrenders. Population there is just over 100k.
Besides, it would piss them off and expose their BS.

Iran warns international marine insurers that only Iranian-approved routes through the Strait of Hormuz are permitted, and ships without passage approval from Tehran will not be secured.
We don't give two shits whether they approve or not. The shipping lanes are open.

An Iranian source warned international marine insurance companies: "Only the routes determined by Iran's shipping in the Strait of Hormuz are allowed for use, and Iran is not responsible for securing traffic on other routes. Responsibility for the security of ships that have not received passage approval from Iran will be removed from the moment the ship's engine is operated towards the Strait of Hormuz."
Iran is dictating terms that will ultimately result in some kind of direct confrontation. It would have been a good policy before now to maintain close coordination with reliable allies.

Washington is distributing to UN Security Council members a draft resolution it is formulating together with the Gulf countries regarding the Strait of Hormuz. According to a diplomatic source, one of the draft's clauses includes a reference to action under Chapter VII of the UN Charter
Perhaps the Trump administration should have considered that international organizations can be useful should a situation like this arise.
Unfortunately, Trump and the American right wing adopted the position that the US does not need allies or international organizations. Hopefully that short sighted policy decision will change. We certainly could benefit from some coordinated problem solving here.
Let's see what they come up with.

Ali Akbar Velayati, the Advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader: "A message to the sailors on board the USS Tripoli - you are extras in Trump's movie ahead of the presidential elections. Your president failed to protect US forces in the previous war. Now you have been tasked with saving the region's money coffers - but in the end, you will find yourselves in a slaughterhouse. History is a good teacher. The USS Tripoli will not repeat itself in the Persian Gulf - but will become a nightmare and collapse your security."

According to what I see, Iran continues to threaten ‘US’s Operation Freedom’
The threat: “We will ‘destroy’ any ship passing the Hormoz without our (IRGC Navy) permission”
They are not liking this bypassing “IRGC blockade” business
Let’s see if it’s all talk, or they are backing down.
