Saddam also pumped a huge amount of crude directly into the sea. The worst intentional enviormental crime in history.

Armed attackers opened fire on a police patrol in Zahedan in southeast Iran, killing one officer and wounding three others, state media reported on Wednesday.

Police in Sistan-Baluchestan province said the patrol was securing the area when it came under fire. The slain officer was identified as Mohammadreza Nezamdoost.

Authorities said efforts were under way to arrest those responsible.

Translated from Persian:

Urgent:
Closure of Tehran Ferdowsi Square exchange offices and attack by security forces on dealers and Tehran bazaaris. Arrests of various exchange brokers across Tehran have begun..
We are also witnessing the suspension of currency price displays on the Iran Gold and Currency website, and reports of people rushing to gold shops and exchange offices amid fear of an uncertain future.
The likelihood of uprising, strikes, protests, and riots by bazaaris across the country within the next few days is high.

Iran is threatening to send only it's fastest bass boats after the USN if the blockade continues to seize Iranian linked vessels.

That guy Vahidi looks demonic.

That smudge on his forehead is reportedly from banging his head on a block of clay during prayers.

Pakistan just opened 6 land corridors to Iran.

6 overland routes from Karachi and Gwadar straight to the Iranian border Gabd, Taftan, multiple variants.

3rd country goods can now transit Pakistan to Iran by truck under customs oversight.

3,000+ containers were sitting stranded in Karachi, unable to sail because of Hormuz.
They now have a road.

Pakistan presents this as trade policy.

The effect is strategic: it punches a hole in the economic logic of the US naval blockade.

The blockade controls the sea not the Karakoram Highway.

Oil and bulk energy flows are still choked trucks can't replace tankers at that scale.
But machinery, consumer goods, industrial inputs, and 3rd-country cargo can now reach Iran overland.

These corridors can carry Chinese or other foreign goods into Iran under Pakistani transit rules.

Every country that trades with Iran and doesn't want to pick a side is watching.

The naval blockade is still the dominant pressure. But it just got flanked.

Yea things like drones, rocket fuel, munitions etc.. Thats why we should be utilizing strategic strikes while enforcing the blockade. Eliminate those routes within the borders of Iran and the noose tightens.

The psychological warfare going on in that tweet is interesting to any observer.
