150 Miles
The distance the F-15 crew member traveled to get rescued, and he did it in 24 hours. That isn't even the amazing part.
The amazing part is that he moved 150 miles north to a location that is just 19 miles from the IRGC Missile Base that USA has been bombing all week.
The base is MASSIVE! 20 KM in length, hundreds of launch sites, and just South of the city of Isfahan (pop. 2 million).
According to Trey Yingst, the CIA deceived the IRGC into believing that the USA was conducting a maritime exfil of the downed crew member.
Even more amazing, this operation took place mere 25 miles from the Isfahan Nuclear Facility where Iran is believed to be storing 460kg of 60%+ enriched uranium.
The USA just proved our ability to land multiple fixed-wing aircraft, deploy 100+ troops on the ground, dominate the battlespace, and exfil.
The USA reportedly lost several aircraft during the operation. They were likely hit by indirect fire from the IRGC base after landing, and or by SAM's brought into Iran by Russia this last week.
This is without the completion of the bombing campaign on the IRGC base. Once complete, the USA will take control of the enriched uranium in Isfahan.
Make no mistake about it. The USA SOF just had a practice run, deep in enemy territory, and they completed their real-world objective.

A few C-130s can be re-built in a year, it's an active production line.
But, If the men and women joining the Air Force don't have the confidence that in the event they are shot down their country would come and rescue them, you wouldn't have many people joining the military.
The events of the last 72 hours have given those pilots, and possibly soon to be ground troops, confidence that their country won't leave them behind if they find themselves in a spot of bother.

BIG | Israeli Channel 12: New details have emerged about the rescue of the American F-15E navigator shot down over Iran.
The officer was unconscious with a concussion and did not transmit a distress signal initially.
He made first contact at 12:00 on Friday, climbed to the highest point to avoid detection, walked 10-12 kilometres and hid in a crevice, from where he sent precise coordinates on Friday night.
Israel refrained from striking in the area and provided intelligence.
During Friday and Saturday, Israel was asked to assist with air superiority and struck relevant targets.
U.S. forces seized a farm 18 kilometres from his hideout, landing two aircraft and small helicopters.
The helicopters extracted him from the crevice and returned him to the farm.
During takeoff, two C-130s became stuck in sand; three smaller planes were called to evacuate the navigator and special forces.
Fighter jets then bombed the two stranded aircraft to prevent capture.

But instead, Air Force Pararescue puts boots on the ground on your home turf, we basically build a whole patrol base including a Forward Air Refueling Point, kill hundreds of your dudes, something goes wrong with one of the C-130s at the FARP on our way out, we're not even cortisol spiked so we simply just fly in another plane and blow up the old one instead of even bothering to do any maintenance just because of how much money we have that we can simply buy a new plane
Good grief. I haven't seen a beatdown this bad since Will Stancil got molested by Grok. This is honestly embarrassing for the IRGC at this point. That was LITERALLY your home territory where you know all the terrain and have home field advantage, we have never done real boots on the ground operations in Iran before, and you still lost.
