No official investigation identified Iran as the group that planned and carried out the Cole bombing. The FBI said al-Qaeda planned and carried it out.
What exists against Iran is a civil case saying Iran materially supported al-Qaeda and facilitated the environment in which the attack happened.
So, no, Iran did not directly cause the attack.

The main objective was always to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. I don’t know how much we’ve done to prevent that.
The new objective is now to re-open the strait and we’ve largely punted on that.
For the other objectives you can say that they’ve been accomplished but to what degree we still don’t know. There’s still a massive drone and ballistic missile threat and the Iranian leadership seems very decentralized.

The entire world has been reminded, even dimtards on here, that the Iranian regime is a thug terrorist regime and must be dealt with accordingly or face the consequences. I would say that definitely makes them more vulnerable and weaker because there will be less tolerance for their shenanigans.
