Trump ran for 8 years on not starting a war with Iran, winning 2 (really 3) elections on this platform. Then, Bibi called him and asked him to do it anyway and 2 days later we’re doing a John McCain style bombing of Iran. Unbelievable. Best thing he could do at this moment would be to declare victory and end this but he won’t because Bibi can’t let the war machine stop.

The amount of people on X declaring this a humanitarian crisis and "evil attack on civilian infrastructure" because they think heavy water is drinking water is alarming
Go look at the replies to that Tweet, lots of dumb individuals thinking the heavy water facility supplied drinking water instead of being the method of producing plutonium as a secondary path to a nuclear bomb

He has been consistent on bombing the crap out of Iran since 1980, incuding in 2024.15K troops are NOT for a ground invasion. There are ZERO ships loading with 1000's of tons of equipment and supplies each. Sure we can airlift troops but the logistics monster known as the US military has barely gotten out of neutral and only enough to supply air/ship assets.

Today, out of special concern for his safety, Cardinal Pizzaballa was asked to refrain from holding mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
Even though I understand this concern, as soon as I learned about the incident with Cardinal Pizzaballa, I instructed the authorities to enable the Patriarch to hold services as he wishes.

FYI part of heavy water separation from water is via distillation columns almost the same as separating Propylene from Propane. Typical is a pair distillation columns approximately 100 feet high. distilling in a series. The boiling point difference is almost the same but not quite. In the 1980's Enterprise Products was looking to purchase two heavy water columns my company was bidding on to demolish in Canada. They were built in WWII. 14 feet in diameter and rated for 300 psig. We couldn't make this work economically so they were dropped then scrapped.

There is no way the Iranians will be allowed to control the flow of oil....they have darn near alienated everyone less China/NK/Russia and their military might has been degraded and their powers severely curtailed - at home and away, see Lebanon and the Hoots described as a nuisance
