Reports of an F-35 taking damage and having to make an emergency landing are starting up. CNN originally reported on it and it’s now picked up by CBS as follows:

Because an antidrone system is a defensive and not an offensive weapon.

No offense, but you should probably do some more research on the topic. Ukraine is currently at the forefront of small, cheap and effective attack drone and anti-drone tactics. The US has been leaning on our high end air defense systems like a crutch. But this doesn't work long term against an enemy that can mass produce cheap attack drones. You need a high/low mix of anti air defenses.
Why do you think the US is now fielding a copy of the Iranian Shahed drone? Technology and tactics change, just because we started using recon drones decades ago doesn't mean that we don't still have a lot to learn from battle tested systems from other countries.

Suspicious passenger plane movements out of Tehran are raising serious questions.
