Of course he's lying.
His play is "I talked to someone in the Intel communittee about the call but I can say that I do not know if he is the whistleblower bc that name hasn't been officially released".
It's bs but that's his play.

yep...missed opportunity. this is the smoking gun for pubs. I would spend the rest of the day on that one issue. I would make Schiff jump in over and over again. It looks dirty for Schiff and an attorney to keep telling this guy to not answer the question when he's already testified that he does not know the identify of the whistleblower.

There is nothing remotely credible about his allegation. We both know that.

Counsel seems to be moving a little quicker. Looks to have a purpose this time.
What you guys fail to grasp I think is that the Republicans have scripted this just as much as the Dems.
When Castor looks slow and dumb, it's for a reason.
When a Republican Rep looks all nice and chummy, it's for a reason.

They should jave hammered the point of it being ridiculous to not identify any particular witness since neither Vindman nor any of the Congressmen know the identity of the WB.
That's a problem with them pretending not to know, and we should jam that down their throat.

Here's the other rub that I have with Vindman leaking the info:
It doesn't matter if the whistleblower had the clearance, he didn't have the need to know. What if he wasn't read on for the caveats or compartmentalization? It doesn't matter if that person has the same clearance or better, if they don't have need to know to that information, they're not supposed to have access.
He's a staff officer, he knows this shite. If I did something like this when I had a TS/SCI, I would have had my clearance stripped and given an Article 15 or worse.

Did Biden have the Ukraine prosecutor fired?
Was Hunter on the board of Burisma, which was being investigated by the prosecutor that Biden had fired?
Those two facts alone warrant an investigation in order to clear even the appearance of corruption from Biden's good name.

Once Vindman said it was a member of the intel community, it was obvious that this person could possibly be the whistleblower.

Only one that will certainly look worse is Vindman and Schiff.

I agree. Now why hasn't Trump had the DOJ open up an investigation into the allegation?
It's because he wanted it off the books.

Err, he told the Ukrainian president to work with Barr (his DOJ) on an investigation.

But we don't know who the whistleblower is, and neither does the House Committee. If we don't know who he is, what does it matter if Vindman names the person in the community he discussed the information with? I mean Vindman testified he also didn't know who the whistleblower was.
Unless of course Vindman is lying.
