This one should be interesting unfortunately. Given that the officer shot him while chasing the suspect. St. Louis is definitely a powder keg of tension when it comes to police brutality. Might be one to keep an eye on.

NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -- A man was shot and killed following a deputy-involved shooting in Spanish Lake Monday morning. St. Louis County Police said an off-duty sheriff's deputy was driving in the 1100 block of Bellefontaine Road when he saw a black truck hit a 67-year-old man who was walking with his 10-year-old grandson.

They were walking down the sidewalk when the black truck makes a U-turn and comes back and hits the old man," said Tracy Panus of the St. Louis County Police Department. The suspect then jumps out of the truck after crashing into the front yard of a nearby home. Police learned the driver had carjacked the 67-year-old man at a McDonalds on Bellefontaine Road beforehand. St. Louis City Sheriff Vernon Betts said the deputy then fired his gun while chasing after him. The suspect died from his injuries. The 67-year-old man was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The child was not injured. The 51-year-old deputy, who was in full uniform, is from an outside agency and a 19-year veteran.

All that matters is race. Is the officer black or white? Is the deceased black or white?

At least that cop was accurate, we need more of them.

Damn, sounds like that deputy displayed some of that toxic masculinity we need more of.

Nah since the officer is a policeman it doesnt matter race...but if its a white officer it just compounds the issue especially if the deceased is black

Is the car jacked victim black?
If he is, maybe some in his community will wake up and see what the frick is going on...

So... the guy jacked the old man and kid at a McD then found them and ran them down as they were heading home?
I’d think the LAST people I would want to see if I had a jacked truck would be the actual owner.

Hell yeah. The culprit used the vehicle as a weapon.

This is an odd story. The perp carjacked the man , later saw his victim walking and deliberately turned around and ran over him????

Wow, this sucks another life gone. My heartfelt sympathy to the officer and his family. Hope he is black. That would be his only hope that his life matters.
If not he needs to get the f out of dodge while he can.

Sounds like a personal beef. Also, perp must be white, as there have been no fires or family press conferences yet.

Yep, with one correction, NOTED
BLM has lost out to ANTIFA. Atlanta marchers are screaming about police brutality at a time when 58% of Atlanta policemen are black.
