We should hope so. One of the best Southern governors of the past 50 years. Would vote for him in a heartbeat.

Under JBE, Republican Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin bragged about helping to censor information on Social media. He censored LA citizens and he censored competitors to our current SOS. This came out in the Missouri v Biden lawsuit and the twitter files.

Despite knowing this, Jeff Landry placed Ardoin in a senior level position in his administration.

Jeff Landry is the worst governor we've had in my lifetime. I have more regret that I voted for him than any other politician I've voted for.

He is a whore to his biggest donors. The epitome of a bought politician and everything I hate about money in politics. He has no moral compass and will not do what is right over what his largest financial contributors want.

Everyone got to see him handle tort reform and then the mid barataria diversion. Now he's protecting his pogie boat buddies who contributed hundreds of thousands to his campaign. No one in Louisiana wants the pogie boats except for a handful of employees and owners, and of course the politician they bought, Jeff Landry.

Landry is a bully

This is what legislators are saying. He threatens his line-item veto power more than any other governor. He calls individual members and tells them what to do, with the threat of cancelling appropriations in their district. That means bridges, water and sewer plants, etc.

As another poster said, he embodies everything that is wrong with Louisiana politics.

And JBE ordered you not to go to church. At least one preacher was arrested. He ordered you to mask up. All the while he was at BRCC unmasked and doing what he told us not to do.

I don't know anything about what Kyle Ardoin did so I won't comment on that. But I know what JBE did.

And to be clear, my post is not some endorsement of Landry. I just haven't seen Landry order me not to attend church.

for Killing the Mid Barataria Sediment Diversion Project

This is where you lost all credibility

The project would build and maintain up to 40 square miles of land in the Barataria Basin over the next 50 years.

quote:

The state’s Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority determined that the effort was no longer viable amid soaring costs, permit suspensions and litigation. The Louisiana Trustee Implementation Group signed a resolution reducing the project’s authorized budget from $2.26 billion to $618.52 million before starting formal close-out activities.

Momentum stalled on April 26 when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers suspended its Clean Water Act Section 404 permit “pending further review,” according to the agency. The Mid Barataria project would have cost Louisiana taxpayers over $50 million a year in dredging, that had not yet been budgeted.

LA was the only southern state not to flourish during JBE's terms. We lost population for God's sake. I don't know how a governor could do worse than that. JBE was a total train wreck. What did he accomplish? Name one thing..
