I have yet to read a single scientific study that shows the kind of masks people are wearing have an effect on COVID-19. Lots of studies from years past about the flu. One single small scale study that shoes in a small household setting of just a few people, household members who got infected managed to not infect other household members 75% of the time if they wore masks AND socially distanced AND disinfected all the surfaces frequently. That means one or two or all of those things slowed (but didn't stop) the spread of COVID. Maybe only one works and the other 2 are useless.
