It's almost like problematic people with access to firearms are the problem, not either one on their own. But we can't legislate out thought crimes - we can, however, legislate out the means by which they can turn those thoughts into harmful action.
So limiting firearms from problematic people means that they can no longer perform harmful actions?

Then we agree there are limits to the 2nd amendment.
Wrong.

Most educated people agree that it always had limits, and that it's better for society that this is so.
Wrong.

We should try focusing on the commonality. Surely that would work this time!

Concealed carry prevents crime.
It does not - it leads to more firearms fatalities.

It means they're less likely to, specifically with firearms, which usually results in a lower injury rate / fatality rate than if we give them all guns.

So you are more interested in restricting gun ownership and reducing gun injury rate/fatality that dealing with the underlying root cause.

Of course not - let's do both.
But I don't see Republicans doing shite to bolster mental health services in this country - unless it's as a distraction away from new needed gun control laws.
Don't pretend like you give a shite about mental health care in this country save for in the wake of a mass shooting. It's disgusting.

I accept the risk of more deaths from firearms in a country that allows firearms. Do you accept this risk as well?

People who wish to kill can find an easy way no matter what laws you clowns pass. Not to mention the tight guns laws sure haven't stopped mass shootings in France.

I think we can do better, like every other developed nation on earth.

They have - mass shootings and regular shootings.

What solution do you have?

No proof that violent crime went down after the gun grab in Australia.

There are more mass shootings in france than in the US.

Oh really? Lets see this data? Also, are you including justified homicides in this?

Stricter gun control laws.

Violent crime went down - specifically violent crime committed with firearms.
The problem is that the number of incidents was so small as to lack sufficient power to reach statistical significance - the p was 0.15.

So how do explain the difference between number of people murdered with knives and the number of people murdered with rifles?
