You progs are now war hawks and debt hawks.

Obamacare was funded on basis of 10yrs taxation paying for 6yrs of benefits. Even at horribly inaccurate 2010 benefit cost predictions ("you'll save $2500/personal policy"), obamacare was going to run a proportional (huge) deficit in the ensuing decade following its initial term. Unfortunately most Americans understand the here-and-now far better than future ramifications of the here-and-now. E.g., the vast majority are still either unaware of incompletely informed of the future obamacare "Cadillac Tax" -- what it is, when it was scheduled, why it was delayed, what its impact on them would be.

I'm trying to do better reading threads first before I reply.

This was the exact point I was coming back to make after my troll response to a troll thread.

10 didn't divide well into 6. That was unsustainable from the start, yet here is the OP mocking those who not only have to pay for it, but those who will now have to fix this.

It is amazing to watch this unfold.

This board, and republicans in general, have thoroughly ignored the $9 trillion of new debt laid out in the resolution. Rand Paul is the only conservative that seems to care anymore.

Your link does not give one single detail as to why debt would increase. You should be banned for linking fake news and making fake threads.

For those of you that haven't read the resolution, this is right up front on page 5. This is why Rand voted no.

You linked a left-wing website.

Yeah, no bias there!

Of course it is now that Obama is out of office and MAGA is up. Turn the blame to the next guy who isn't even in office.

You're saying the debt will be 9 trillion more in ten years because you're assuming nothing else will be done to pay back that debt during the same timespan.

There aren't many fiscal conservatives in DC, especially in the Republican't party.

DJT isn't a conservative either.

So, how does a group go about fixing something that was purposely set up not to be sustainable after 6 years anyway? How were the other four going to be paid for? Wouldn't logic dictate that there had to be something to cover that, even with some other plan that supposedly "has to be in place" in order to satisfy the group who fricked it all up on their own in the first place?

This is history repeating itself for the millionth time: Democrats create a problem, then create an unsustainable solution to that problem, then get to back away and criticize those who ultimately pay for it and have to fix it.

It really is a brilliant move on their part. I'm just afraid the public has finally woken up to your team's tactics.

Only when they're out of power and can use it to scare the ignorant masses.

Now that they're in power, they'll turn on the spigots and wait for Democrats to fix their mess. Just like every other time.

Do you people just decide to wake up and flat out make shite up out of thin air?

Someone isn't aware that it's in the actual text of the resolution that Congress voted on...

I appreciate the narrative, but it doesn't have anything to do with the actual budget resolution that the GOP sold to you as an "Obamacare repeal."

Really?

Because it looked to me like you good folks took the Bush disaster and tripled down on it.

Yep. Looking at the numbers, that's pretty much what you did....

Really. Clinton cleaning up Reagan, Bush fricking up Clinton's surplus, Obama cleaning up Bush's frick-ups, Trump already wanting to add $9T to revoke healthcare from 20M people on top of lowering taxes on the rich.

We've seen this before, and it ends with a weakened economy and Republicans clamoring for fiscal restraint just as a Democrat gets into office.

Reagan ran deficits to make the USSR topple itself trying to keep up.

He did it for a purpose. That worked. Everyone after him has done the same for no reason. Dear leader has done it so much that he has ran up more debt than every president before him combined so I don't give a shite what Reagan did.

I'd like to see the numbers to back this up. It defies logic. There will be less spending on subsidies. Consumers will once again be allowed to buy affordable plans without bogus coverage requirements, thereby saving money and having more disposable income they can spend and create jobs. Businesses will pay less to cover their employees, giving them more taxable profits or allowing them to expand.

Also, for this to be true, Ocare has to be saving $900 billion a year right now.

You're a goddamned idiot. Clinton did nothing but fall assbackwards into the internet boom and left with an imploding economy. Not to mention he watered the saplings of the housing collapse with miracle gro. Keep up with your bullshite though, it's the only defense mechanism you have.
