The pattern is polically weaponizing federal government agencies.

Obama hired Fusion GPS to conduct opposition reasearch on Romney. There is nothing wrong with this. It’s done by both sides in every campaign.

Fusion GPS outs the big donors to Romney’s campaign.

quote:

"In 2012, then-President Obama had an 'enemies list' on his campaign website with the names of Mitt Romney's biggest donors,"

Still not a big deal. However what did Obama do with this info?

quote:

That enemies list was placed on the Obama campaign's Orwellian "Truth Team" web site. The site called them a "group of wealthy individuals with less-than-reputable records. Quite a few have been on the wrong side of the law, others have made profits at the expense of so many Americans..."

That kind of vilification of decent, law-abiding, successful Americans is bad enough. But to drive home the intimidation, each of the names on the list was subsequently tweeted out from the @TruthTeam2012 twitter feed, along with their supposed misdeeds, most of which really amounted merely to tough or unpopular business decisions they had to make.

Obama "relied on a vast grassroots network to coerce, bully, boycott and vilify individuals lawfully taking part in the political process, just as his own donors and supporter are freely allowed to engage," wrote the Daily Signal back in 2012.

Imagine for a moment the chilling effect that would have on a political foe's campaign — calling those who fund another campaign's candidate "enemies," with all that entails. The IRS, the SEC, the FBI, the Justice Department, all with active prosecution arms, all headed by Obama loyalists. To say it's an act of political and personal intimidation is an understatement.

quote:

One of the names on the list was Frank VanderSloot, an Idaho businessman who had contributed to a group supporting Mitt Romney in 2011.

Mr. VanderSloot soon learned what it meant to be on a presidential enemies list.

Just 12 days after the [Obama campaign] attack, the Idahoan found an investigator digging to unearth his divorce records," Strassel wrote in "Obama's Enemies List Part II." "This bloodhound—a recent employee of Senate Democrats—worked for a for-hire opposition research firm."

That oppo-research firm was -- you guessed it --Fusion GPS.

It wasn't long before VanderSloot was targeted by the federal government. In a letter dated June 21, 2012, the Internal Revenue Service informed him that his tax records had been “selected for examination.” The audit also encompassed VanderSloot’s wife, "and not one, but two years of past filings (2008 and 2009)."

That’s right. That police state THUG Obama put the IRS on Romney donors to shut their political activities down.

See, there is a pattern of behavior by the previous administration. They weaponized federal agencies against their political opposition and it did not start with Trump.

I did not know Obama using Fusion GPS in 2012. That’s new to me. However I did know the IRS was weaponized against political opposition. In fact iIRC the federal government settled with several plaintiffs already who where targeted by Obama’s thuggery.

I hope this investigation backfires on them in epic proportions. Fusion coming up in 2012 against a completely different candidate? Sounds like they need to subpoena the FISA warrant applications during 2012 to see if there's a pattern there, too.

None of this is surprising. Obama’s not a swamp dweller...he’s more partial to sewers.

Look at how he won his first Senate race. It’s a definite pattern with him.

It’s astounding how massive of a bitch you are.

Dude sicked the IRS on an opposing candidate’s donors and all you care about is crying about a derogatory label.

frick sake do you need an absolute arse beating for being a monumental dick.

Don't really have an issue with this.

I do have a major issue with using the FBI, CIA, NSA, and IRS to target and harass political enemies.

The Left will justify and ignore this corruption...and the reactionary Right will elect a 'Trump' as a last 'Rule of Law' resort to addressing it.

Dinesh D'Souza and Michael Flynn go to jail...McCabe gets fired and the Left melts. If this 'Trump' don't get the Nation back on the Rule of Law path, then I think we all know where it goes from there. The Right will not tolerate double standards of Law any more; from Barack Obama to Hillary Clinton to James Comey/Lynch/et al...'Equal Justice' had better be applied...or the Right will abandon Rule of Law (like the Dems) and it will go to the street. As it always has in a vacuum of passionate moral-based disagreement.

Not sure there is a big enough jail to lock all of these corrupt Washington D.C. criminals up for life.
GITMO under renovations - maybe military tribunals would get it done.
But that would require an AG with some fortitude ....

This to me has always been the biggest scandal.

This country was literally founded because the King of England wanted to specifically tax his political opponents. Along with a desire for religious freedom, it was the primary driving factor for the formation of this Union.

And no one gives a shite. Sad.

WOW!

This is incredible, the amount of power abuse seems endless under Obama. It absolutely should end in jail time for many. It's too bad we don't have a DOJ with the balls to do it. Maybe because the career DOJ employees has many who should be prosecuted.
