Half of the country will not accept whatever happens in November. It's going to be a debacle.

There's a world of difference between 2016's #MuhRussia nonsense and what happened in 2020.

Think about what you just said. Their oath is to defend and protect the constitution. At all costs. If Americans betray their citizenship and attempt an insurrection, that is a direct attack on the constitution and the military will be obligated to defeat them. Your line of thinking is concerning to me but I hear several say it.

Defending the constitution would be fighting the left communists who are turning this country into the opposite of what the people fought for in the revolutionary war.

So no that oath would swing to the right against the leftist cheating scum.

You could not be more wrong. I will admit the right side in the Congress has done little to protect it's contingency of people they represent.

Hell. Congress is persecuting citizens for protesting and at the same time demeaning Trump voters, both sides of the aisle as they say.

My prayers that he catch the terminal cancer so humankind can be spared of his hurtful ways hasn’t been answered quite yet. But from what I understand it is in queue.

Well maybe but it would depend on circumstances. The civil war is not the same situation as today; that is not a good comparison. American military is only required to follow legal orders. The way communist take over, those would not be legal orders.

If Americans betray their citizenship

Who gets to tell me I betrayed my country if I am defending it from enemies within?

Where in the quote you posted does he predict the start of a civil war after this November's election day?

Predictions?

In less than three months, there is an election for the President of the United States. I believe it is the most important election since 1860 and the start of the Civil War.

When did the Civil War start? After the 1860 election. Hayden did not say there's going to be a civil war after the '24 election.

Wasn’t he one of the people from the intelligence community that signed the letter saying that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation?

just cannot forsee the modern American military who take an oath to the constitution, using its assets against American citizens.

For every General with a predilection for penetrating tight underage anus there are 1000 enlisted who will put a bullet between his eyes.

And I imagine on the civilian side that ratio is exponentially higher.

Hypothetically speaking, if they try to use the military on civilians.

It scares me how many of you swallow a headline without reading and applying critical thinking. Everything written about Hayden in this thread may be true but it still doesn't mean his quote in the OP is implying a civil war after election day.

Well circumstances matter significantly as to what would be the response.

This statement may be true in a vacuum, but let's not pretend that by all indications the DS Swampers aren't giving every indication that they'll let go of the rope when it comes to the election itself, but then going the whole nine yards in the 76 days between Election Day and Trump being inaugurated.

Waste-of-Cancer-Meds Rep. Jamie Raskin already tipped their hand.

Examples of betray in a Sentence
They betrayed their country by selling its secrets to other governments.

I really do not understand the use of the word in this statement as referring to citizens against a corrupt and illegitimate government.

Telling me I am betraying my citizenship by opposing tyranny is not against the Constitution or My country.
