They know that if Kavanaugh gets approved and the Dems don’t take the Senate that it’s over for them. RBG is on borrowed time

It's amazing how blatant the media has been in being part of the "resistance"

Would it stop you leftists from making political assassination attempts?

Or in other words, "shite's not going our way. Let's change the rules!"
Imposing an age limit's a double-edged sword currently due to advancing medical technology and capabilities that enable humans to live prosperous lives longer than the past I mean heck RBG looks like death currently however apparently her mind's still sharp by most accounts

Setting aside the merit of the argument, it is blatantly transparent what they are doing. They have no shame.
Now, some type of 10 year term may not be a terrible idea. Particularly if they grandfather everyone who is already on the bench when this constitutional amendment passes. Bwahahaha

My grandmother was in her 90s when she died and was sharp as hell even to the end but it didn’t keep her body from giving out on her.
And clearly RBG’s body is giving out on her. It’s just a question of when rather than if she dies before the end of the Trump administration.

Is not sane enough to be judging a damn thing. Term limits for EVERYBODY- Congress especially, but all judges too.
Sotomanly is not far behind...

I'm fine with no term limits, their terms depends on "Good Behavior" according to the Constitution. Term limits in my opinion would politicize the court even more and probably make it more corrupt.

It’s going to be corrupt no matter what. It’s just a question of how at this point.
With lifetime appointments, the stakes are so high that the Dems are pulling out all the stops to destroy a man whose underwear came out clean on three FBI background checks because they can’t get rid of him once he’s approved.
With staggered terms, similar gaming will happen because a determined minority party will prevent a Justice from being seated for two years in hope that the presidency changes hands and their guy gets three appointments instead of two.
Best way to pull corruption out of the process? Make the court less powerful. But that defeats the purpose the court has served since the 1930s with its overarching rulings.

Just like the Electoral College, they're only for limitations when the status quo is to their disadvantage.

Instead of changing the rules for everything they are losing at, why dont they put forth ideas that the majority of Americans support?
I am not meaning more trannys, extra taxes on white males, and socialist bullshite. But things that the majority of Americans could get behind.
But they cant because their party has been hijacked by "progressives".

I'll support that when we first force term limits on Congress.
frick that.....the Court is suspposed to be a check. Limit these bastards in the House and Senate....that's where the problem starts.

For one, that's dumb as shite. Does not the sitting President, elected by the people, nominate a candidate? And does not the sitting senate, elected by the people, confirm the appointment of the candidate?
Can you imagine the instability of law if the bench was turned over every 6-10 years? I think a minimum term limit would have to be at least 20 years.

I actually agree that the Supreme Court needs term limits, but for a different reason.
I think 20 years is enough time to meet the intent of the position.
20 years allows a justice to serve during, at a minimum, 3 presidential administrations (as many as 6).
I also would decrease the threshold required to impeach and remove a justice.

The Supreme Court is NOT supposed to reflect the will of the people. What a turd.

So now they want term limits in addition to doing away with the electoral college.
The Constitution is essentially a roll of Charmin to the Left in this country.

Its amazing how things don't "reflect the will of the people" when a R is in power but suddenly do when a D is in power.
Truly interesting.
