I haven't seen any evidence of that, plus it makes no sense...wouldn't you want to examine the boat for evidence and/or interrogate and incarcerate any survivors for additional intelligence.
The X post that Decatur just posted gives possible credence to the "destroy" mission, because it claims they fired two more shots AFTER they killed the survivor with the second shot.
