And there we have it. The French political establishment is not serious about this. This is election posturing by Macron to try and make some inroads into the Pied Noir demographic. Whole areas of Paris, Marseille (and the surrounding Provence), Lyon, Lille and Roubaix (near the Belgian border) have become Islamic. The French have for decades opened their doors to people from the Maghreb who were ruled by the French from the 19th century to the 1960's. If they were serious about keeping their country French, this would never have happened.

Maybe they can use all that bullshite Paris accord money they are getting from the Biden administration to fight it. That would be hilarious
