Elon Musk spending $446 million is the equivalent of a person with $1 million spending $446.
Insane to think about
ETA:
It's actually only equal to spending $405

Using a $1.1 trillion net worth (reported by Forbes), spending $445.77 million is roughly 0.0405% of his total wealth. For a person with a net worth of $1 million, spending that same percentage equals $405.25

Soros has bought thousands of elections across the country, and you never complained

Sure I did. I don’t think anyone should be able to donate that amount of money for elections.
Glad you have the honesty to equate the two, though. You’re one of very few.

And, it's worse because he buys elections with U.S. taxpayer's money thanks to the most f*cking corrupt organization on the f*cking planet this side of the Clinton Crime Family Foundation, i.e., USAid.

As he acknowledged they're also trying to buy elections

Elon is using his own money in his own PAC
Soros takes USAID money that is fed into his PAC
I think a person should be able to spend their money how they see fit. I don't think a person should be able to take USAID money and fund local elections across the country.
Pretty big difference in the two, and you people only have an issue now because Elon flipped
I do think the lobbyist industry needs to be gutted, though.

It's worth noting that Elon's wealth is at least partially derived from government contracts and the success of his most valuable company was wrought about through government loan programs.
Does that make it the same thing as Soros? Of course not. Does it warrant inspection? Yes. Particularly when you consider that he is likely looking for ROI on this investment.

Loans they no longer need and were paid back in full. Loans they even paid a prepayment penalty on because they paid them off early.

This theory falls apart when you realize he is donating to one side only. People who play both sides, like Lee Mallet and Gordon McKernan here in Louisiana, donate to both sides and surely don't incinerate the other side daily as the most-followed person on earth as Elon does.
BTW, if you pay attention to LA elections, you will see what I said is true. Gordon donates to both sides if there is a close race.

The world would be in such better shape if governments didn't possess such power.

Wonder which one of those sent trans flyers to a bunch of kids in Texas.

I’m glad Elon is on our side but it’s mind blowing the amount of money that is being thrown around and that a few individuals have so much influence.
