People complain about Chinese "unfair" practices because they subsidize industry, and we do the same thing....

The left center isnt nearly as worried about the debt as those of us to the right of them. Or as most of us to the right of them.
I think we are running a precursor to MMT currently, I think the left would be fine with that.

Wtf are you even talking about? Biden pumped billions into Nvidia to get them to move chip manufacturing to the U.S. that was the subsidizing billionaires part. Nvidia fricked Biden over like the clown he is. For 4 years they didnt build shite in the U.S. they even discussed with India to build the manufacturing plant in India. All Biden did was allow insider trading by people like Pelosi as Nvidia did two stock splits, a 10-1 and 4-1 and prop up the market in a shitty economy while subsidizing billionaires and he did it with our tax dollars. Trump announces tariffs and 9 months later they are being built in the U.S.

Yeah, no doubt about it, but what is Trump to do about that? The constituency in favor of fiscal responsibility won’t get you elected as dog catcher. Congress hasn’t sent a bill to the White House with a budget of any sort since 2020, and hasn’t sent a fiscally responsible one in 25 years.

Not exacerbate it, as he is doing. The old Conservative line was to keep Progressive "Progress" from progressing, not join in with their "progress."
Trump uses the position to change society in his vision. Thats what Progressives do. We are supposed to be the "catcher in the rye" not the one chasing people off the cliff.
Owning stock in private business, trade wars, etc are progressive tools.
Trump is right on immigration for the most part, but the rest of his domestic economic policy makes Bernie Sanders smile.
