Economy reopened in 2021. I doubt we will see another year like that.

We're on the backside of that and getting prices down is one of the most important things we can possibly do right now.

People arent buying Chinese just because its cheap, they;re buying it because they cannot afford American made products

Am I speaking to Warren Buffet right now, or just some shmuck who has no fricking idea?

Sorry for the cursing. The AWS outage has fricked my day up so I'm less patient with stupidity than usual.

So where does Bernie Sanders fall on your spectrum of business expertise?

Thanks for proving my point better than I ever could.

Bernie has never been a business man, has no knowledge, expertise, or even the IQ to learn how to be effective at anything. That's why he put an I next to his name and languished for a literal lifetime.

Micro and macro are two different animals. Running a business is a totally different animal than running an economy.

Macro comes with some fairly harsh tradeoffs that Trump doesnt seem to understand. That has little do to with how how runs his personal business.

No prices are going through the roof.

Incorrect. The article was posted here over the summer. Rent, airline fares, auto insurance, medical costs, and there was one more item I can't remember that have demonstrably increased due to tariffs. Already.

And it's been posted here ad infinitum how those things are both the result of the tariffs and also how they will all contribute to higher prices on just about everything else in time.

It's also been posted ad infinitum that higher prices are not the only negative effect (nor the first one, which is why it's not obvious to a dullard like yourself yet), but that they will also cause layoffs, hiring, promotion, raises, and expansion freezes, and forgone expansion plans.

And finally, the evidence that those things are already starting has also been posted here ad infinitum.

I will bet you any amount of money you want to bet that if the tariffs stay in place as they are now this time next year not even a retarded cult member like yourself will be able to deny the negative effects.

That won't happen, though, because Trump will stop them before then.

He's well above average on the macro. I believe that will prove out over the next 3 years. You believe it won't. We don't need to get into the bickering part of us waiting to see who is right. I'd rather just talk to you and catch a few threads we agree in the meantime.

Because he's actively working against principles of successful macro economics.

This isnt opinion. If you think most textbook econ is bunk, just say it.

Trade wars at this economic time are idiotic. Thats not simply "my opinion."

It looked like you referenced tarifff numbers 2021 in a bad light without mentioning Covid.

And he supported tariffs.

There were two candidates running on tarrifs in 2016. Bernie was one and Trump was the other.

Here's your link to prove it since so many of you idiots can't remember that far back: Politico

Why? You wouldn't recognize it anyway. Just like you walked right into the one you just stepped on your dick about above.

Not in the quote I referenced. Which are the numbers I asked if they could be compared similarly to 2025. That was all.

Bernie also claimed to support democracy. Do you require me to take the opposition there?

Even a commie can turn a phrase, find an acorn, run a campain, etc.

Since you think I'm dumb, connect the dots for me. Pretend there is absolutely no overlap between ideologies. That will make it easier for you.

Why? We are in two totally different economic situations. The economy was booming then, its grinding now

My prediction was always this. Tariffs will result in crappy numbers, Trump will kick the can down the road and add a shite more to the debt.

Mr "Kick the can down the road" Trump wants good numbers more than he wants a good economy

With positive numbers he can convince all the tards he's doing a great job, despite the accumulating debt.

You got an opinion and the economics behind it, and you want future data?

Cant change a retard.

Whats the correct economic stance on tariffs and trade wars? I'll give you a hint, we are in a full blown trade war.

(If you look it up, it will look amazingly similar to what I have told you.)

Especially if you get to them after 60 and on a fixed income. Old dogs and all that.

But you're right, I'm too short tempered to be on this board right now.

We will need to continually subsidize them to continue.

Why?

Because it took massive incentives, including 25% tax breaks to get the factory here.

The US government gave TSMC 6 billion dollars to build here. They have massive tax breaks to continue.

Its socialization. We complain about Chinas subsidizing industry, look at this.

The US isn't a sovereign nation if it has to rely on its adversaries for critical imports......get a fricking clue dude.
