Now the Australians are questioning why they got the polls so wrong.

First it was a big swing and miss with Brexit vote in the UK.
Then a MASSIVE whiff at the plate when Donald beat Hillary's arse in 2016.
And the polls continue to get it wrong. This time in Australia.

IMO this explanation is laughable.
The real reason is the polls failed to gaslight the people. If the polls don't do a good job of manipulating at least 10% of the electorate by triggering the "herding effect" the polls will be wrong.
When the polls cross tabs can be easily read online the electorate is more difficult to gas light. If the cross tabs are not provided the electorate simply dismisses the poll.
Pollsters will continue to try to herd voters to a predetermined and paid for outcome. The old gas lighting polling methods appear to be failing. It will be interesting to see how the bought and paid for gas lighting polling firms change strategies.

So why exactly were the polls, as ABC political editor Andrew Probyn put it last night, such a "shambles"?
Former Newspoll boss Martin O'Shannessy blamed the flawed forecasting on the fact that many people's telephone habits have changed.
"Not everybody has a landline and the numbers that are published are incomplete."
Mr O'Shannessy said until he left Newspoll in 2015, the company had used probability sampling — where a random sample of telephone numbers are called across the country to reflect the population.
"It was successful because it allowed every potential voter to have a say in the poll," he said.
ABC election analyst Antony Green agreed the sampling used to be much more reliable.
"They switched from an operator asking questions to randomly calling mobile numbers and robocalls," he said.
"There has been a drop off in response rates and there has also been a drop off in the quality of the data."

We all need to be prepared for a day when the lying losing side wants endless investigations to overturn the election results because "the polling data proves there was voter fraud and foreign government colluuuushun!"

Rush has nailed this for years. "Polls" are nothing more than a predicate for journalists to write about whatever.

1- They get it right when they say people aren’t responding. Therefore, they are under sampling and not getting good data.
2- Conservative voters aren’t playing anymore. They are not answering or flat out lying to throw off the poll data by saying the opposite of who they will vote for or saying they are undecided.
The polling firms can’t control the latter.

100% true. If you notice all the "news" outlets have their company polling firm on the payroll. It fills the gaps during the campaign season by giving the media something to talk about. Not only do they talk about their own polling they talk about other "news" outlet's polling.

Exactly
Conservatives know that the polling firms work for the MSM. And Trump has helped educate them that the MSM is colluding with the Democrats.
Therefore they prefer to avoid dealing with or actually want to thwart the DNC/MSM Political Complex by non or fake answering.

Guilty.
I've been polled before as a "conservative" or "republican" that answers the questions favorably to the Dems. I started that approach through 2016 and I received at least two more calls from other pollsters before the 2016 election. I was polled 3 times in 2016. I was NEVER polled before that.

England banned knives and guns, the Aussie's were on their way to this. Globalist propaganda losing is music to my ears.

Yesterday CBS Evening News reported that 53% of Americans polled favor Congress dropping it's investigation of the President- BUT that 77% of Democrats polled favor continuing it.
This morning, CBS Radio spun it as 'a new poll found that 77% favor Congress continuing it's investigation- but when asked another way, 53% favored dropping it altogether.'

It's very simple.
It's just heinous to be a Trump supporter or a right winger in the other cases.
People aren't vocal about it because they don't want the shenanigans that come with it...
Doesn't change their vote though.

The left produces biased polling questions, and in many cases either don’t recognize the bias in the questions, or disregard the bias in the results, and then are shocked when the reality differs.
Don’t misunderstand; much of the polling is straight propaganda and that is absolutely intentional.

The two counties were republican strongholds, and it was most likely our bad actor CIA making it appear as muh Russians.
