Well, for two reasons. One they need folks who think ACA is a lifeblood to their existence, so they tell them the mean Republicans want to take it away so they can laugh while they suffer. Much like every national election where they tell seniors the Republicans are going to eliminate SS. Been hearing that for 30 pls years. Secondly, they know that Barry pretty much only had Obamacare to hang his legacy on. With the WH and both Houses, his sorry arse only accomplished this one piece.
So as you suspected, it carries no truth. Just optics to get folks who think their next breath depends on who holds an elected office. We call those people Democrats.
