I'm just catching up, that's at 1:30 PM ET. Lawrence v Texas overturned Bowers vs Hartwig (SP?) which made homosexual acts a crime.
So Coon's been attacking her written statement that bad precedent ("Clearly misinterpreted precedent") should be overturned, but she points out he would have wanted to see that law overturned, so he turns around and agrees with her in this case (he said "correct, in grievously wrong cases...").
But of course, "grievously wrong" would be things he doesn't agree with. Judge Barret would base that on their Constitutionality. She nailed him, and I'm not even sure he realizes just how hard he hit the ground.
She should have jumped out of her seat, given herself a fist pump, and then sat down and calmly said "Next?".
She is a National Treasure.
