Don't come blackmailing our farmers!
----

Deere & Co. is pledging $1 million to the NAACP Empowerment Programs to fight racial inequality.

The Moline-based equipment manufacturer announced that Friday morning on social media under a post with a headline of "hatred and discrimination have no place in our society."

Deere also announced Friday it will provide "a 2:1 match on U.S. employee donations to several social justice organizations," the company said in its post.

"And we stand ready to strengthen our longstanding work with organizations like the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Executive Leadership Council, National Society of Black Engineers, National Black Growers Council, and MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences).

Together we will create lasting change."

This seems like good stuff to me. The Black Farmers that I know, and The guys that are in the logging business, and the trucking business, They're no different from me. The problem is, we have too few like them. We need to be encouraging more.

Who is privileged again? All of these organizations supporting 13% of the population, and they still cannot catch up to every other race or ethnicity.

Until they come out with IQ pills this "inequality" will continue.

I hope farmers tell Deere to shove it and will cease from buying further products from them.

But why? I've traveled the states, I know where I can raise my young kids to actually grow up and appreciate the US.

Tell me more about this solar site. How many mega watt is it? We recently sold a farm to a solar company so Facebook could say they are using “Green Energy”.

I would rather have seen JD put that money directly towards creating more minority farmers, or educational programs that would have let younger minorities know of the potential careers available in agriculture.

BTW, we own or lease a dozen JD tractors and combines, as well as multiple implements

Subtle brag.
