If you take out the liberal areas of California, it is a pretty conservative state

Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded.

I have mixed feelings. While I would LOVE the unity of Trump winning all 50 states, I would get a huge dose of schadenfreude over him getting the popular count but losing the idiotic, knuckle headed states that signed into that compact to give the popular winner all their votes.

Watch Tucker Carlson next week. He’s doing a special segment on California every night and has some really f’d up footage from the homeless problems. A friend of mine in the Bay Area told me its horrid and it’s got some folks rethinking things.

There are lots of patriots in Cali outside of the major cities

There just aren't enough of those patriots to overcome the millions living in the major cities

If you take out their huge cities, the rest of the state is red. It's just the massive cities like everywhere else in the country.

Sadly, it is not.

Almost all of those red areas and the yellow outlining them are Democrat-controlled strongholds. That's a good chunk of the population.

What is the story on this?

I see a lot of 'here are the facts' snopes type BS on this. So what is the truth?

I had not heard about it until we had a thread on it here earlier in the week.

Apparently the bill specifies that water should be rationed by the water companies to 55 gallons per person per day and that if that amount is gone over then the water company is fined $1k per day with the ability to pass that along to the consumers.

What hasn't been hammered out yet is how this will be measured, what will happen in some case like a water main breaking, will water companies be able to pass those fines completely to only offenders or spread them through the entire customer base, etc. Hell, they don't even know IF they can measure this adequately at this point.

The 1/1/2020 date in the legislation was for the local water companies to file their plans/ideas with the Governor's office on how they think they can move forward. The legislation specifies June 2022 as when the law fully goes into effect.

The biggest problem with this law (aside from the insanely low limit) is that it was written in a very generalized manner, leaving the various bureaucracies to create their own rules governing all of this.

It also creates another level of enforcement bureaucracy that would be filled even if this moronic pile of shite is loopholed into irrelevancy.
