Good point...ALL of the incompetence of NOLA 'officials',elected,appointed,grand-fathered in...has a cumalative aspect which dates back decades if not 100 yrs. However, one has to begin somewhere...i.e. WHO is responsible for what ? Sould there not be a PROFESSIONAL city mgr. with a background in public works/public safety/short and longterm major project planning and implementation ? The SWB's Mr. Ghassam is the only such 'manager' I've ever heard of ! Is there not a continually updated city projects list ? Is it true that the mayor seldom if ever attends city hall meetings ? I'm at a complete loss as to just how badly this city is administered/run !
