Of course "people were going to die".

That's how neocons operate, knowing full well the actions they will take is filling up some pockets. GWB is exhibit A.

Tillerson was a disappointment for me. I heard from many that he is a great man. Great men aren't cut out for DC.

Mattis was the one I was sad to see go.

Try them for treason.

If you can't in good conscious serve a President, you don't take the position or you resign if you've already taken it.

Your oath mandates you respect the President as the chief executive of the United States.

If you can't do that, you resign. Nobody is forcing you to serve on his cabinet. Secretly trying to subvert the President in the shadows is treason.

From people inside the beltway? Because those people also said James Comey and Robert Mueller were great men with unimpeachable character.

I was disappointed in Mattis. He did almost nothing to turn back the SJW bs Obama pushed on the military for 8 years and he was a little too eager for military involvement.

Nikki Haley is an execrable person.

I don’t believe everyone against Trump is “deep state” but it hard to tell the difference sometimes

Some of these people probably just disagreed with DJT policy

This point you’re absolutely correct. I meant to say seditionist.

Well maybe it isn't all slanted for publicity's sake and instead really does have a story that needs to be told. I'm just having a difficult time accepting the seemingly oversimplified version with a generic statement like "we're just trying to save the country before Trump kills everyone."

But perhaps there's context in the book. Hopefully, anyway. If not, that's bizarre.

Their oath of office is to serve the Constitution (which is in turn how they serve the people).

The Constitution explicitly recognizes the President of the United States as the chief executive officer of the United States and grants him certain executive powers. The cabinet exists to serve the Executive Branch.

If a cabinet member thinks the President is doing a horrible job and they cannot bring themselves to comply with his executive decisions, his duty at that point is to resign his office.

You don't get to arbitrarily decide the voters got it wrong and you will secretly sabotage the President because you know better than the voters.

General: "Here is the plan on the battlefield tomorrow"

Private: *this plan is stupid. I know, I'll secretly sabotage it because I think the General sucks.*

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG!

From now on we'll just have every single person ignore all positions of authority and all chains of command and just do whatever they individually think is best.

Edit: Sorry for posting this. My statement has been covered by numerous other posters who all recognized the same stupid point.
