That's right 23 million less viewers!
Nice job guys!

Each of this year’s playoff games has lost over a million plus viewers, Travis said, with the biggest loser being the Saint-Vikings game which lost an incredible 13 million.

The only time I had NFL football on my TV was during Thanksgiving, for the sake of my relatives.
My wife has been a life-long Patriots fan and she hasn't bothered watching them this season because of the stupidity of the NFL.

but but but but...
NFL players still seem somewhat oblivious as to how the owners get the money to pay their salary. Don't seem to understand fan demographics.

Of course those same 13 million (and 13 million more) will claim they saw the final play live.

Well to be honest that was a horrible matchup.
I don't care how rabid each fanbase is.
That's still just two extreme regional fanbases that aren't going to turn the national dial.

Guy misses tackle resulting in GW touchdown.
MSB is equally split between those feeling sorry for player (rookie who will learn from it) and those who want to have him tarred, feathered, hanged, drawn and quartered, and run out of town on a rail.

I called this beforehand how the pathetic boycotters would claim some personal victory when ratings obviously drop from last season once you replace Giants/ Cowboys/ Packers with the Saints/ Vikings/ Panthers.
Cowboys vs Packers last season Drew the highest Divisional Playoffs ratings ever.

2018: the year we’ve gone so far up our own asses that changing the channel is considered fighting for freedom

This weekend will be even worse. Games are terrible

I pointed out in a thread on MSB... I really think the NFL is hurting already.
For example, consider the commercials that aired during the Saints/Vikings game on FOX (and Jags/Steelers on CBS for that matter... they were almost identical).
Bud Light
Verizon
Bud Light
State Farm
H&R Block
Bud Light
Verizon

Bud Light
That was basically it. The same damn commercials over and over and over and over and over and over again. I saw that awful Verizon commercial with the soy boy from "Silicon Valley" at least 10 times on Sunday.
I'm no advertising expert, but it seems like maybe the NFL is comping these 5 companies with "extra free" commercials since the ratings are lower. And/or no other companies wanted to overpay for NFL commercials since the NFL viewers have lost a ton of buying power with middle class whites tuning out.
Usually you get way more car commercials and fast food and pizza and liquor commercials. Coca Cola, Nike, National Car Rental, Subway, etc. etc. None of that this year.
