Pretty sure it's because the advertisers are not stupid and they know that the price tag that comes along with SB commercials is not worth it this year due to the huge reduction in viewership vs the price being charged.

In a country where capitalism is dieing and Communism is here, why even spend money to advertise?

This is not to mention the number of people who have tuned out.

How about they just make funny commercials instead feeling like they have make some statement on current events or state of the country?

I remember in 2017 right after DJT was inaugurated, the propaganda of immigration was strong with Super Bowl commercials. The commercials were propaganda and not entertaining at all.

I submitted an article to American Thinker, it ticked me off so bad. Super Bowl commercials will be full on propaganda this year I'm sure.

Drop in viewers will largely be due to lack of public and private gatherings for the event. So it's covid related.

The political sjw nonsense doesn't help, but covid is the main culprit here.

I hope it all crashes in a big ball of flames and torches NBA, MLB and NHL with it.

There is no value in buying the ad space anymore. They are trying to blame everything other than the truth. Viewership has been plummeting and the statistical reports are far from accurate. The treated their customer like crap - end of story. Advertisers need viewer to justify the cost of the ad - simple. And the ide being floated by other that Covid is to blame - explain the enormous revenue that streaming services are getting. Sports sided with sjw who are not customers. Same is happening with FOX.

Boycott every sponsor who airs an advertisement during the Super Bowl.

Haven’t watched (The NFL) in 4 years, so I will have to look for the list of sponsors online.

Are you arguing Americans do not have TVs in their homes, so they have to gather in other peoples homes with TVs?

Quite the contrary, shouldn’t Covid forced stay at home policies increase viewership?

Still a good many people on this board who are watching because "it can't hurt"

Where are all the fans who swore, we wouldn't quit watching?

I may not be able to stop the SJW but I can vote by not watching. Dominion can't control that vote.
I wouldn't wear Drew Brees crap nor allow my grand children to wear it.

I tuned in for the first time in years to watch Brees vs Brady for what is (possibly?) Brees' last game. It was just sad. Terrible, boring product and confirmed why I stopped watching in the first place.

That’s what you think!

In Biden America you don’t watch Super Bowl.

Super Bowl watch you.

Viewership continues to decline. Yes, there are odd spikes upward here and there, but overall viewership is down. The wildcard playoffs were particularly bad (-25% on Saturday and -20% on Sunday).

There are reasons viewership is down that the league and state media won’t acknowledge. Yes, they repeatedly blame Covid, but grasp for straws in blaming the capitol hill riots. The league, media and sponsors won’t acknowledge that the political crap they spew has impacted their model negatively to the tune of a couple of billion dollars.

Like I said, Covid should force viewership up.

The fact it is down so much WITH a bored, captive audience should freak the frick out of ownership.

Of course, for my money, they fricked around and found out. Probably won’t destroy them, but I’m happy they reap at least a little of what they sow.
