So typical, the business is still making money so everything is great.

Quick questions...... do you think the owners are happy with these results??

What about the networks??

What about the advertisers?

What about the sponsors?

What about the companies that make their living off of merchandise?

Etc etc.

You OBVIOUSLY know NOTHING of business. Business must go UP...year over year..... now we are trending DOWN, DOWN DOWN.... for 2 straight years.... And HUGE decreases.... 10% one year?? 15% the next? CATASTROPHIC.

How many years in a row did football (everything - revenue, popularity, etc) go up??? Every year in the modern era basically. Now it is plummeting.

Someone post the "this is fine" meme.....

For the obtuse - this is called the start of a trend..... a downward trend. The loss you see is from the protests, but FOOTBALL's WORST NIGHTMARE --- the people who took time off from the game ---- DIDN'T frickING MISS IT....... and are not coming back.

Keep kneeling, keep doing everything you are doing. I am very interested to see what happens in the next CBA. I can almost guarantee a strike, after the salary cap is slashed, and these spoiled babies take a stand......and get called on their bluff.

You heard it here first folks....come back and check.

Even with the recent drop in ratings the NFL is still the wealthiest and most watched sports league in the world.

-----------------------------
1. Dallas Cowboys, $4 billion
2. Real Madrid, $3.7 billion
3. FC Barcelona, $3.6 billion
4. New York Yankees, $3.4 billion
5. Manchester United, $3.3 billion
6. New England Patriots, $3.2 billion
7. New York Knicks, $3 billion
8. Washington Redskins, $2.9 billion
9. New York Giants, $2.8 billion
10. Los Angeles Lakers, $2.7 billion
--------------------------------

The UEFA Champions League Final is basically the European Super Bowl, but way bigger. Last year, the game between Spanish teams Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid attracted 350 million viewers.

--------------------
It happens every four years, and it has a massive audience.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup drew more than 200 million viewers per game, with the championship game between Germany and Argentina drawing 913 million viewers globally.

-----------------

Cricket

The Cricket World Cup in 2015 had more than 1 billion viewers for the final game between India and Pakistan on Feb. 15, 2015. About 288 million of those viewers were in India.

You're comparing the 2014 Super Bowl with the 2010 World Cup Final?

Wasn't there also a World Cup in 2014? They had 1 billion total viewers of the final.

Now, how much is that viewership going to drop now that the U.S. isn't in the 2018 World Cup?

Do you know what I’m supposed to be mad about? I’m still waiting for that explanation, nobody can seem to figure it out, but they’re sure I’m mad. More wishful thinking and moral victories I suppose.

Kind of all the Muh Boycott crowd has....

Well I am not putting too much time into debunking the NFL myth. Source - Internet, go use it.

NFL is huge in USA, but worthless to 6 billion other people in the World.

It takes 7-8 Superbowls to equal one World Cup final.

This is coming from a guy that hates soccer and loves football and still watches the NFL.

It is becoming more and more clear that the NFL may be unable to reverse the damage caused by the National Anthem protests and could be facing huge public opinion problems, and losses of advertising dollars for that matter."

Don't know about you all, but this is the first season I have gone without following or watching the NFL. It'll be the first super bowl in my lifetime I don't watch.

the payoff only made things worse and then the undeniably rigged games by refs made even more blatantly clear by thursday night saints falcons game where the whole country watched the refs rig the game in favor of one team on national TV

add to all that the $200m contract given to goodell was the biggest frick you to whatever fans they still had watching.

it will be interesting to see the ratings the SB gets, since 30% of those who watch, only do so when they go to SB parties with friends for hanging out and never really cared about the game. since many wont be having SB parties it should be interesting to see the ratings numbers.

for myself, i couldnt care if goodell and the kneelers kissed my arse in public and gave me a BJ i still am done with millionaire racists who disrespect the flag and our country.

Even without all their SJW nonsense, the league is garbage now.

This and it's been that way for awhile now.

Goodell didn't kill the league with this SJW nonsense, he killed it by turning a great product on the field into Arena football.

The league knee-jerked to the CTE issue and overnight made the game foreign to the average fan.
