Next week I will do something I've never done before: Vote a straight Republican ticket

I worked in the Democratic Party for 20 years. I held various positions in the party, I worked for various Democratic politicians and office holders, I have advocated for that party very hard and for a very long time.

2016 I voted Trump, but mostly voted a Democratic ticket. Next Tuesday my ballot will be nothing but red. And it feels good, man.

Took 20 years but you finally understand what Democrats are all about.

I am a fierce independent who’s never voted a straight ticket in my life, until this election. The DNC has done the impossible, taken sensible moderates and pushed us too far.

Yes sir. The last 5 years I noticed a change in local leadership to a more socialist bent. I fought against it in county and state committees. But, within a couple years I was out numbered. The leadership coming up are nothing but AOC and Bernie clones. No reasonable voice can exist in that party any more. The night Trump was impeached I resigned all my seats and positions in the party.

What's funny is you didn't even have to change in those 20 years. If you held on to your core beliefs, what was "left" 20 years ago is basically "far right wing" today.

The Dem party is what shifted.

I was a kid during the Reagan years. I remember his presidency well. Even when I was a hardcore Dem, Reagan was in my top 5 presidents. He was exactly what we needed, when we needed it.

You didn’t change. They did. Progstains mock anyone that brings up socialism but you know firsthand.

Welcome aboard sir. Like a previous post stated, the party is the one that left you. Their ideas of identity politics would make JFK look like Bob Dole today.
