Just because inflation is lower than it was in 2022, doesn’t mean there isn’t still inflation. Inflation was 9% in 2022. It was 2.7% at the end of 2024. Meaning the cost of things are still rising at 2.7%.
If you cut the budget when the cost of things are still rising…you will have a deficit.
