Poll indicates a 33% approval rating, with a majority of respondents saying he should not run for president.
Poll shows Newsom with a 33% approval rating and a 42% disapproval rating. This reflects a decrease from a February poll by Emerson, which showed a 42% approval and 40% disapproval.
A recent UC Berkeley LA Times poll indicates 44% of Californians approve of the job Newsom is doing, while 49% disapprove. This represents an 11-point drop since February.
