Newsmax host Grant Stinchfield suggested on Tuesday that future Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson may be responsible for the leak of a draft ruling that would dismantle abortion rights.

Jackson will be sworn in this summer after Justice Stephen Breyer retires. Stinchfield acknowledged that she’s not a justice yet. But he still posited that she may have hired clerks and they may have started work already. He has no evidence this is true; he’s nonetheless “sure” of it.

“I find it suspect that the first leak coming out of the Supreme Court in history comes shortly after Judge Jackson is confirmed,” Stinchfield said, as flagged by Media Matters for America’s Jason Campbell. “I want to know if her law clerks, who I am sure have already been hired, possibly even working at the high court already before her swearing in, have access to these draft decisions.”

I said that exact thing to my wife.

She agreed.

She is smartest woman I know, so it must be true

He never said that.

Here is what he said:
“I want to know if her law clerks, who I am sure have already been hired,”

Fake news is fake.

Does Grant present any evidence that either of these possibilities actually took place?

If that turns out to be true, she will undoubtedly be the first Supreme Court justice to be impeached since 1804. And hopefully the first ever to be convicted and removed from the bench. A justice is appointed for life only "during good Behaviour."

This is the important question. I would assume that the answer is no, which would end this speculation.

Having said that, if the answer somehow is yes (say through some loophole), then 100% it is a possibility.

Whichever justice's staff leaked this should be questioned and impeached.

I am sure that the most trustworthy and least corrupt government in the history of the US will be able to lead an unbiased investigation and provide accurate results to the voters forthwith.

How would that be possible if she’s not even on the court yet?

Since it’s on the internet, it must be true.

This is not the first leak in SC history.

It certainly does read like a NYT or WaPo hit piece on Trump, January 6, Matt Gaetz, etc. I concur with you on that.

Quote of the then young Century, (commenting on Aaron Burr presiding over the Senate trial of Samuel Chase when Burr had killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel the previous July), "Ordinarily, the murderer is brought before the judge."

Did you ever present any evidence that the mccloskeys actually destroyed the gate to their community instead of the hoard of protestors?

Jackson isn't even on the Court yet and isn't part of this decision. Breyer is still a judge on this case. Also, that opinion was drafted in February.

I would assume she is briefed up on this stuff but don't purport to understand how it works
