Whenever the tv media does a story about coronavirus increases, they inevitably show people on a beach. Being outside with a constant sea breeze, isn't the beach one of the least likely places you could contract the virus?

I've noticed the same thing. I also noticed that the video/pictures are always looking "through" the crowd and not down on the crowd...that "through the crowd" angle will always make it look really packed when it reality it isn't.

Odd they don’t show protesters. It’s just more fake news media

The easiest place to catch the virus is indoors.

Matter of time before I show up on national media. I've been basking on the beaches of Charleston County, South Carolina since last weekend.

Nothing screams Covid cross contamination like salt water, sand, sun, and strong fresh air breezes.

Please get these people back in tight bunches shoulder to shoulder protesting and looting where it is clear that Covid spread is reduced.

Media- “Those hundreds of thousands of rioters didn’t cause the spike, they were outside!”

Also media-“OMG those people are on a beach!”

Which is part of the reason FL and AZ are spiking...super hot there right now so everyone is staying indoors (and largely not wearing masks).

Also, a telephoto lens compresses the image adding to the crowded effect.

It’s mostly middle class and upper middle class white people on the beach. Only they can spread Covid. Ignore the fact that 70% of hospitalizations in places like L.A. are Hispanic folk or that Covid spikes happened right after massive protests and marches.
