If the people of New Zealand don’t vote out these fricking tyrants, I’m almost speechless. It can’t happen to you, until it does. What they’re doing is kidnapping and keeping prisoners, and it’s those prisoner’s human right to escape by any means necessary, even killing.

But yeah, I agree that the harsher the restrictions and methods, the better the results. There's just a tradeoff that would have to be accepted.
