I've zapped him about trolling medical threads on several occasions though. There is no role for that for a medical professional, ever, IMO.

Why that possibility was labeled as a nutty conspiracy theory is beyond me.
A few years and a few million deaths later, and the 2012 hypothetical was suddenly no longer a hypothetical. At that point, Tony"IAmScience"Fauci thought it best to cover up the fact a Gain-of-Function experiment actually did go awry and actually did cause a pandemic.
So it was at Fauci's urging that lab leak assessments were labeled as a nutty conspiracy theory in order to shut those investigations down. Obviously he did that with deep state/intel assistance.
Hopefully, investigations will expose the perps behind the catastrophe. The CDC and their CD19 testing calamity needs a thorough cavity search as well. What happened there has always been suspicious to me as something exceeding the possibility of "accident."
