I cannot imagine an 80-90s democrat thinking the government should have the job of determining who is of "good moral character". Sickening what has happened to our country.

This list includes "schools, summer camps, libraries, daycares, parks and playgrounds, places children gather, theaters, museums, entertainment venues, places of worship for religious observation, polling places, educational institutions, and health medical facilities. Federal State Local government buildings, homeless and domestic violence shelters, places where alcohol is consumed, restaurants, bars, public transportation, subway buses, airports and at public demonstrations and rallies, and in Times Square."

Anyone who ever had an abortion should be banned from all those places.

The left's own rule - abortion should have the same rights as guns.

We already have laws that are not utilized Posting threats online is a crime. If legit threats are made, DAs should grow a pair and press charges. Not find a backdoor intended to prevent unconvicted citizens from purchasing firearms.

I have no social media, but if I did I would identify as not having any.

I’d love to know how they “prove” you have a social media account to give them.

“I’m not on social media” probably applies to a significant portion of gun buyers and those who are online are probably mostly on anonymous sites like this.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul once again signed sweeping gun legislation into law on Friday that created several severe new restrictions on obtaining a gun in the state, including drastically increasing concealed carry regulations and requiring applicants to turn over social media history.

It doesn't matter. Won't stand up in court.

Indeed.

The words "shall not be infringed" ring blaringly loud in this instance.

These dims know it won't hold up too. They're just throwing shite at the wall to appease the radical left faction.

Hochul and her minions know this but don't care. They also know it will likely take some years before the supreme court takes this up. These years of waiting is their window of opportunity to enact their agenda. And yes once the supreme court strikes it down they will just sign into law another set of outrageous limitations. That's the game...all the while they enforce what they want.

This law kind of reminds me of the episode of The Orville where punishments and laws were based on public opinion of a person.
