NY State and NYC have an economic death wish. Florida says "Come on down!"

New York poised to hike taxes on millionaires, Wall Street
quote:
The state would temporarily establish two new personal income tax brackets: 10.3% of income for income between $5 million and $25 million, and 10.9% for income over $25 million. The new rates would expire at the end of 2027. Rates would also increase to 9.65% (from the current levy of 8.82%) for individuals earning more than $1 million.

No worries. New federal tax laws from the Biden Admin will offset any rate changes by the state. Lock of the century.

New York is already dead. This just shovels the last pile of dirt on the coffin. New York will never be what it was. Florida, on the other hand, is the new financial capital of the United States.

This will not be good for Florida. These New Yorkers aren't going to start voting Republican.

For someone earning $5 million a year, that would pay for a $2 Million house in Texas in only four years. Just saying' if any of ya'll OT types are interested, Texas has a lot of land!

if 10.9% is good, wouldn't 99% be even better?

Dumb arse yankees forget about this while they are voting in FLorida. It's utter lunacy. Leave high arse taxes only to vote in more morons who want to raise taxes.

Florida is fricked.
Our real estate market is absurd right now from rich yankees coming down. Would be nice..but these stupid fricks bring their political beliefs with them.
How dumb do you have to be to leave somewhere because the left made it unlivable..only to continue to vote left in the place you moved to escape their policies.
fricking frick. Just keep your stupid liberal asses up North and away from our polls.

I know Desantis is pushing a lot thru, but y'all better start getting super proactive quick by putting in laws now that won't be changed.

Will California, Illinois, New York, etc. starting turning red as their “woke” white liberals flee to Florida, Texas, etc. ?
