She MUST be some sort of deep-state plant, who spent decades and decades getting degrees and doing research and teaching and publishing--building up her reputation as a decent, hard-working woman--JUST so in her middle age, she could use all that cultural currency to make a phony claim on some bro idiot supreme court nominee.
i mean, the mental gymnastics to get there are fricking olympian. I could see your point if we were talking credibility in terms of whatever her area of training/expertise is, but instead we're talking assigning credibility in terms of allegation of criminal activity. Different scenario, different factors, different standard.
Lack of corroborating evidence as well as lingering inconsistency via other "witnesses" resulted her lack of credibility in this case.

These assholes seriously want to be able to ruin a person based on "he sexually assaulted me maybe in X year, but maybe in Y year, sometime in a particular season, in a location that I can't recall, with named witnesses who don't recall a thing either...……...30 years ago".

as for the rest, i'm not a cheerleader for the left at all, so that argument is laughable and more likely projection. i have a lengthy history here of talking about my distaste for politicians generally on both sides of the proverbial aisle. 99.9% of politicians would throw you in front of a firing squad for a few thousand bucks--it doesn't matter if they have an R or a D next to their titles.
