Preprint of a study from UW-Madison. Actually shows the vaxxed faired worse than the unvaxxed in those tested.

quote:

Abstract

The SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant might cause high viral loads, is highly transmissible, and contains mutations that confer partial immune escape 1,2. Outbreak investigations suggest that vaccinated persons can spread Delta 3,4. We compared RT-PCR cycle threshold (Ct) data from 699 swab specimens collected in Wisconsin 29 June through 31 July 2021 and tested with a qualitative assay by a single contract laboratory. Specimens came from residents of 36 counties, most in southern and southeastern Wisconsin, and 81% of cases were not associated with an outbreak. During this time, estimated prevalence of Delta variants in Wisconsin increased from 69% to over 95%.

quote:

We observed low Ct values (<25) in 212 of 310 fully vaccinated (68%; Figure 1A) and 246 of 389 (63%) unvaccinated individuals. Testing a subset of low-Ct samples revealed infectious SARS-CoV-2 in 15 of 17 specimens (88%) from unvaccinated individuals and 37 of 39 (95%) from vaccinated people

quote:

Low Ct values were detected in vaccinated people regardless of symptoms at the time of testing (Figure 1C). Ct values <25 were detected in 7 of 24 unvaccinated (29%; CI: 13-51%) and 9 of 11 fully vaccinated asymptomatic individuals (82%; CI: 48-97%), and 158 of 232 unvaccinated (68%, CI: 62-74%) and 156 of 225 fully vaccinated (69%; CI: 63-75%) symptomatic individuals. Time from symptom onset to testing did not vary by vaccination status (p=0.40; Supplemental Figure 2). Infectious virus was detected in the sole specimen tested from an asymptomatic fully vaccinated individual. Although few asymptomatic individuals were sampled, these results indicate that even asymptomatic, fully vaccinated people might shed infectious virus.

Combined with other studies 2–5, these data indicate that vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals infected with the Delta variant might transmit infection.

All you vaxxed superspreading fear-mongering, mandate-pushing asshats can take your little booster shots and stick em in your pee holes.

These people are not trusting the science. Everybody bend over and take your booster shots like good little plebs.

This explains the data coming out of the UK, Ireland, Israel, and other highly vaccinated nations.

Pretty much.

Israel’s vaccination levels are some of the highest in the world and yet they are also having some of the highest levels of Covid cases in the world.

Main options here are “testing is bad and you come up with Covid as a false positive after vaccination” or “damn thing doesn’t work.”

I always wonder who finances these studies. I've seen too many experts testifying to whatever they are hired for.

That is the difference between science and “science!”.

Science means that you investigate a subject and publish your research regardless of whether the outcome was your intent.

“Science!” is where you start with a conclusion then build backward from there.

What about hospitalizations among the vaccinated versus unvaccinated (once you control for age and vulnerability)?

That's the important thing.

It doesn't matter if the virus spreads. It matters whether people become sick enough to go to the hospital, which is the entire crisis. If people are positive and don't need to go to the hospital, that's the entire crisis over.

Immune escape caused by vaccines is not a problem. It's a feature. This will give rise to perpetual boosters and $$$$$.

It's amazing how different the PT and OT are. One board is full of skeptics and critical thinkers and the other is full of fierce blanket defenders of establishment assertions.

Aren’t Israeli hospitalizations through the roof since the vast majority of the country got vaccinated?

If so, then it isn’t working as intended. Even if you aren’t getting as many ICU patients, getting a bigger flood of other patients still defeats the purpose of the vaccine if you wanted to avoid an Italy situation where healthcare collapses or is near collapse.

Israel hospitalizations are averaging around 1000 per day (50% lower than the previous peak), which really isn't that bad considering the number of cases is the highest it's ever been (33% higher than previous peak).

This suggests that vaccination seems to have reduced hospitalizations even in Israel.

The figures are much better for the UK. The UK is averaging around 990 hospitalizations a day (which is 3600 less than it was during the previous peak) despite the number of cases being similar to what it was under the previous peak.

So vaccination appears to have reduced hospitalizations in the UK by over 5 times.

Both Israel and the UK seem to suggest that vaccination has worked to some extent. In the UK, it seems to have worked pretty damn well (everything is open and there are only 990 hospitalizations a day compared with 4000 under the previous peak despite the number of cases being as high as the previous peak).
