Sadly the central and western part of PA where the oil and gas is doesn't have the population of Eastern PA. Pittsburgh is blue as well just like the vast majority of larger cities.

So basically Trump needs to win 75% of the 8 or 9 swing States. Not impossible.

The problem is he's losing in everyone of those swing States except (NC).

NPRs latest poll has Trump polling behind in Florida, Penn, Ohio, AZ, Wisconsin, Nevada, and NH, but polling ahead in NC.

Biden is currently polling ahead in Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico and Virginia too.

No shocker there except Michigan did vote Trump last go round. Barely.

He needs to win 7 of those States

AZ
MI
PA
WI
NC
FL
OH

Are your swing states. He's winning Texas, Georgia and Iowa.

I should've included Ohio in that category as it's now a red state and he will win it by 8 points again.

Florida, North Carolina, Arizona should be his as 2 are traditionally red but are getting purple. Florida is trending red especially after 2018 and having desantis with high approvals will help.

So once again it comes down to 3 Midwest states. He only needs one to get to 270

Actually, that includes the people who will NEVER say they are voting for Trump . . . but do. At least 3-4 points there.

Those polls are looking good for him.

I think it is (somehow) much harder this time around to find people willing to answer a poll and say they are voting for Trump than it was in 2016, though.

This

I think people are even more scared to admit voting for Trump now vs 2016

wait and see if kanye really runs.

although the typical poliboard poster failed to read the graphs correctly, 538 analysis had trump with a chance to win. percentages. not yes no.

In 2016, the only thing you had to fear by being pro-Trump is being laughed at by the elitist. He had no shot at winning, and only Joe 6 pack white nationalists wanted him in office. Now, in 2020, it could cost you your livelihood, not to mention a severe tail whippin’.

Folks simply are not going to be forthcoming about being pro-Trump. Trump rolls bigly in November.

Hence, all polls are bullshite because they are never "wrong" unless they go 100%-0% in the wrong direction

just like the weatherman

How's that 4 weeks thing going? You people sure are hard to embarrass

Every poll to you is bullshite.

This fricking pollster is the only one that fricking called trump winning Michigan and Pennsylvania. They literally predicted 306 electoral votes the day before the election.

Please stop with this talking point. No one in Pennsylvania considers Biden a Pennsylvanian, he’s been in Delaware since he was 10 years old. The Biden/Pennsylvania thing is overblown. I’d argue that Trump has a stronger and more recent connection due to his time at Wharton, his two oldest boys going to prep school outside of Philadelphia, and Ivanka, Don Jr and Tiffany going to Penn.
