If this is how she feels about illegal immigration , imagine what her other takes are.

Simple math would tell you that most cities dont have the space to hold illegals
Wouldn't they be moved to federal holding facilities until they are deported?

Depends. If local PD is solo, they go in the parish/city lockup
And when your jail is overcrowded, they'll let worse criminals go to accommodate the illegals

I have thought this for some time but ICE and Homeland Security should concentrate on municipalities that appreciate their help and less the cesspool dem run cities be overtaken by illegals. Cut off any federal assistance to uncooperative cities. Seems like we would be a lot more efficient.

would you rather have roofers or thugs on the street?

NOPD dont have the staff to keep normal crime under control and here you are pretending like they should now focus on arresting illegals.
With all the overtime NOPD is working, New Orleans should be the safest city in the U.S.
New Orleans has suffered and continues to suffer from decades of abysmal political and civil servant hires.

Aren't traffic crimes civil crimes unless you kill or badly hurt someone?
There are no "civil crimes" and traffic tickets are not civil matters. You can go to jail for a traffic ticket. The camera tickets are considered civil matters. Closing down a bar due to a fire hazard isn't a criminal issue and it would be done by the fire Marshall not the police.

No you dont you fricking moron.....no you dont.
You say shite like that because you, like most liberal fahhhhhgs, have no idea of the implications from moves like this. You just like to go along, until the consequences hit you.
This idiot is saying police wont handle civil issues. Let that sink in, you dolt.

Who's job is it to keep them out?

No… traffic “crimes” or crimes… the ticket is a courtesy in lieu of not taking you to jail… it’s the officer discretion.. although in Louisiana that doesn’t mean the jail will accept you once you get there

Real simple fix. Put NOLA at the back of the line for all federal funding until they quit playing grab arse.

Anne Kirkpatrick, the New Orleans police superintendent, says that "being in the country illegally is a civil issue and we will not enforce civil law".
Helena Moreno (NOLA Mayor Elect) gave mee-maw her marching orders. This is 100% coming down from City Hall.
The boots on the ground guys will come up with a work around..
