It wasn’t meant to be read literally Indefatigable. I assumed the clinking beer-stein emoji indicated that it was made tongue-in-cheek. Yet you knew this right?

One wrong comment by some idiot a couple hours after an attack in New Orleans ain't it.

We can agree to disagree on that point.

No, I don't, considering that you seem to be one of the people who care what the FBI spox said this morning.

FBI hard at work letting us know the Muslim with the ISIS flag that killed 10 and tried to kill more that had multiple explosive devices in his truck was not an act of terrorism.

I think this is just the start of what started 4 years ago with countries dumping the jails into our country and the almost invitation by this administration to bring in ME jihadists, Chinese spies, cartel drug lords, etc., etc. It's inconceivable to me that people in charge hate this country and the desire to destroy at the level this administration operated.

That's important....why, exactly?

Because at the time they said that they were representing and speaking for the FBI. It is important because it reinforces what so many already believe, that the FBI is incompetent as a law enforcement agency and should be dismantled.

And it was corrected almost immediately. So what's the problem and why are you talking about it 12 hours later? It was stupid, but did no harm whatsoever.

Killer is a US born Texan ex-military.....they will use this against the "terror" believers. Said he was inspired by ISIS.....to me that is a terrorist, and I don't care where you were born.

Let the fools run with their narrative .....and maybe the echo chamber adopts it since there are many that are predisposed to believing it.

The main “fool” in this “narrative” is the clown rolled out by the FBI as the spokesperson in the FBI’s first news conference addressing this terror attack. And the main “narrative” being pushed in this thread is the gaslighting campaign suggesting it is of no significance that the FBI has an incompetent fool as their mouthpiece addressing the public’s concerns about this “event”.

That was the 6am press conference. Around 3 hours after the event. There is plenty to be upset about, but them not classifying it as a terrorist event while they are still activity investigating isn’t uncommon. Again, this was 3 hours after it happened. They aren’t going to just jump in and say it’s a terror attack with little to no info.

Here is the full press conference

The easy answer is that if you aren't sure it's a terrorist attack, then you say you're not sure yet. You don't say it isn't a terrorist attack. That is the issue.

Because that is a pretty big frick up by the supposed top law enforcement agency in the country. It was either gross incompetency on their part or was intentional misdirection. Either is possible.

It is a horrible look for them and I think many in this country have zero confidence in them.

If you don’t realize why the idea that the FBI is completely broken is a problem then it is pointless to waste another second on you.

Fair enough. And certainly I think there is some significance that the nation’s supposed premier LEA has employed an utter moron as it’s spokesperson.

That was clearly the plan, but someone fricked everything up before the FBI lady spoke

Teedy did not do the planned "we're not sure yet" commentary.

This is a huge clue about what Senator Kennedy was referring to.

It was a mistake due to Latoya fricking shite up, as we expect her to do. It was very quickly corrected and has only stayed alive via people like you trying to make it a thing.

Everyone thinking clearly understands what happened.

And there is the narrative you want to fuel with this irrational talking point

Thank you

No, it really isn't. It had no impact on anything whatsoever. You're making a mountain out of a molehill because you don't trust the FBI.

It was someone over their head misspeaking. Anyone with common sense can accept that very easily--especially when it was corrected within the hour.

The FBI is broken. Some random idiot at a meaningless press conference isn't why.

especially when it's pretty obvious it was a terror attack. pretty embarrassing for New Orleans to have Teedy, the DEI police chief, and the DEI FBI SA share the same stage. ya heard?

Is this where you pretend that you don't know that the New Orleans field office isn't exactly the cream of the crop on the FBI's staffing list?
