On Thursday’s broadcast of “CNN News Central,” CNN Chief Climate Correspondent Bill Weir stated that the newly finalized set of rules on coal power plants announced by the Biden administration “essentially signals the end of coal as a power source in the United States.” Because there currently isn’t any technology capable of complying with all the rules, “And so, it will essentially push most of the remaining 200 or so coal-fired plants out of business.”

Weir said, “Well, John, this is really, really significant. It essentially signals the end of coal as a power source in the United States. Right now, four new rule changes, they also include cutting down on the neurotoxin mercury, which comes out of these power plants, the coal ash that gets spilled into waterways, other wastewater, but the big one is this new rule that would require coal-fired plants to reduce 90% of their planet-cooking pollution. And right now, there’s not really a technology capable of doing that. The industry has never really taken carbon capture and sequestration seriously in the United States. And so, it will essentially push most of the remaining 200 or so coal-fired plants out of business. About a quarter of them are scheduled to retire anyway.”

Kill a major power generation fuel, (and they're attacking natural gas already in the meantime), hamper any nukes from being built and ramp up the stress on the power grid by banning ICE vehicles, gas stoves, grills, etc.

All of this is to reduce the world back to an impoverished, caveman cattle state that the elite can manage. These people need to be defeated utterly.

False premise, and they know it.

If there was, they'd just add another rule to obviate the technology. The rules need to be made by people who aren't evil globalists..

Or let’s use Dems as fuel for electricity. I mean it is a renewable resource after all.

Those power plants need to go offline tomorrow. Show people what its like with no electricity, maybe then they'll get their spectator @ss up and vote.

That one hell of an idea.

Announce that these plants will be shut down for 48 hours so people can get the "flavor" of the impact of these rules.

In my experience, only about 15% of Americans are intelligent enough to tie ending coal by law to the rising of energy prices and inflation.

When electric bills skyrocket Democrats will say it’s due to the rich not being taxed enough.

Yet they will be the loudest of bitchers (aren't they always, though?) when their electricity bill increases. Then they'll push the government to subsidize their electricity, which will mandate higher and new taxes.

Meanwhile, natural gas is cheaper than dirt, but... but... "muh methane is worser than muh CO2" (meaning natural gas will likely be the next attack vector).
